# Transaction Events

Base URL: `https://api.omni.integratedcommerce.io/v1`. Authenticate every request with your API key in the `x-api-key` header (see [Authentication](https://doura.ca/docs/get-started/authentication.md)). Shared types are defined under [Models](https://doura.ca/docs/api-reference/models.md). The machine-readable OpenAPI 3.1 spec is at https://doura.ca/docs/openapi.json.

Real-time notifications for completed transaction events: `sale.completed`, `auth.completed`, `capture.completed`, `refund.completed` and `void.completed`.

Each event type is separate, so an endpoint subscribes only to the events it wants. Each event is delivered as a `POST` request whose body is a JSON payload describing the event.

Delivery, retries, endpoint configuration and signature verification are covered in the [webhooks documentation](https://doura.ca/docs/webhooks.md) - **every delivery must have its signature verified** before it is trusted. Legacy webhooks, the delivery method every merchant has today, are verified with the `x-fsk-wh-chksm` checksum ([Verifying the checksum](https://doura.ca/docs/webhooks/legacy/verifying-the-checksum.md)). Svix webhooks, which are invite only, are verified with the `svix-*` headers ([Verifying signatures](https://doura.ca/docs/webhooks/svix/verifying-signatures.md)).
